Hope in 2026 - Pam Loosle

It’s a difficult time. So much chaos and fear. So much cruelty. So many problems. Where to start? I see in my friends what I see in myself: emotional and mental overload. But I also see my friends re-finding themselves, their big hearts, their wisdom and convictions, their courage. I lean on them. Pam, one of the most warm and giving people on the planet, writes about this process of moving through confusion back to clarity and courage:

Hope in 2026: Search, Hope, Conquer

I'm feeling lost, but I am found

I'm stressed, but I have hope

I don't understand where we're at today...

Chaos rules, rules are gone

Bullies lead us, leaders have left us

Its hard to hold on

But I have to hold on

I grip tight to hope, to peace

I try to release fear

Its easier when I'm with like-minded friends

People with compassion and ethics, kindness and justice

People who care about the Constitution and the Rule of Law

I only ask for justice, for just us

Just all of us US Citizens

And Justice for all

It seems a simple ask, a simple task

It could unite and ground us

Together in a common cause

I am safe, I am loved, I am heard

I can help, I can peacefully protest

I will be heard

I'm feeling lost but I am found

Another wise and loving friend, Margaret, emails me and shows a similar path to restoration. . . and rebellion:

“The death and horror and cruelty is proving quite a psychic burden, isn’t it? We are SO fortunate: to be able to shop for tomatoes, fill a gas tank, hear cranes not scuds, not fear the bombs blasting, Oh my god.

See you at the rally!  [ NO KINGS of March 28, 2026]

In the meantime, like every day I can, I will be out on the river, seeking quiet.”

REMEMBER THAT: Rest and Rebel
