Reimagining America
Reimagining America: “People Concerned About People”
We meet in peaceable assembly to Reimagine America and advocate for better government.
At the end of this story, you’ll find resources that will help you join our efforts.
We promote an America that returns to its first principle: A government by and for the people.
An America that uses its power to promote the health and well-being of the citizens rather using it to pursue and punish political enemies.
A government that follows the law rather than bending and twisting it.
An America that cooperates with other countries and inspires by embodying its values of freedom and justice for all — rather than attempting to rule by intimidation and military spectacle.
An America that repairs our tattered immigration system rather than terrorizing our cities. An immigration system that provides humane and legal opportunities for asylum and immigration and heeds the Statue of Liberty’s promise. . . “Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” The promise that brought our ancestors here and created a vibrant mix of peoples and a country know for its ingenuity, creativity, and hard work.
We hope to see you at our rallies and meetings. Help us reimagine our failing institutions, our electoral systems, our health care systems and our housing policies. Help us put an end-stop to environmental destruction.
If you care about the health of our land and believe in meeting the needs of the people, if you believe in diplomacy and fairness, in peace-making rather than brute force and war, if you would like to cross the divide, scrap our dysfunctional political parties, you may belong with us.
Help us find common ground, mend bridges, repair the torn fabric of society.
This is the spirit in which we invite you to USE your imagination, exercise you right to free speech and free assembly by joining our rallies and community meetings. Help us Reimagine America!

You may also have a smile for the small town in Vermont, Green Mountain, where resisters came dressed in orange and black as monarch butterflies (the only “Monarchs” allowed in town!). Others wore golden paper crowns from the Burger King. And a sign wandered by that said “Rejecting Kings Since 1776.” (Source: Jill Lepore’s “Revolutionary Whiplash” The New Yorker Nov. 17, 2025)
And here’s Dennis Hinkamp’s joyful and poignant video of the No Kings Rally of October 2025, held at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Logan:
If you’re a costume person, start planning your outfit for the next No Kings event on March 28th, 2026. Or just make a sign that expresses how you feel about this moment in our country’s history. This nation-wide event is likely to be the largest mass mobilization and peaceful demonstration in our nation’s history.
With our country now at WAR, we likely to see more gatherings. Peace Walks, Prayer Vigils for the Fallen. . .and Protests. ~ Commentary by Anne Shifrer
